"Recoup" our influence with Saudi

Dear President Biden:

I'm sure you don't need me to point out what Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman just did to you and our country. The prince has gratuitously decided to help Putin and hurt you just before the midterm elections by pushing up oil prices.

If it hasn't already occurred to you, please note that the prince made lots of enemies among members of his own royal family when he staged his coup.

Recall the old adage that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend."

An opportunity exists to help "recoup" our influence with the folks with their hands on the oil spigot.

Back in the bad old days, our country was quite skilled at replacing the leadership of other nations with alternate politicians whom we (or rather, our CIA) preferred.

I suggest it's time to bring those old regime changers back from retirement.
